A non-profit organisation, #Thetha Organisation Centre, is hosting a Heritage Day celebration on Monday, 24 September from 12:00 to 19:00.
Entry to the event at the Asla Park community hall is free. The organisation believes that celebrating South African heritage in this way could serve as a bridge to unite the community. “Love your life and be proud of your culture” is its motto.
The event will also serve as the launch of the #Thetha Organisation Centre. The organisation’s purpose is to support, promote and restore hope and dignity to all people living with HIV/AIDS.
The outreach efforts will also include pregnant women and parents as well as victims of rape and violence.
“Together we can change the community,” says the chair, Ningisani Solly Mashele.
